Medicine cabinets can be very dangerous. Very often in a hurry, you may mistake toothpaste for a cream and use it. It the danger was only this, it would not have been a problem. The medicine cabinet also contains poisonous chemicals that you can recognize but not your kids. If your kids have full access to the cabinet, chances are that they will end up in hospitalized for food poisoning.

Installing a medicine cabinet does not require much skill unless you have a very small bathroom. Normally, you can install the cabinet at places where the hands of the children cannot reach. Make sure you have several sections in the cabinet. Keep a section for kids, mark it, and help them understand that other things will make them sick and they cannot play. Alternatively, you can lock the sections containing the poisonous substances. If the bathroom is small, use a safety lock for the entire cabinet.
