Automatic gates are a craze these days. Everyone wants one installed on the main entrance of their home or shop. However even as these gates have their advantages, there are disadvantages too. Here are some of the advantages and disadvantages of using automatic gates-

1) These gates provide great security. It can only be opened by the owner of the house or the shop. However the cost of getting and installing an automatic gate is sky high.

2) Sometimes automatic gates can be problematic. They will stop working during power failures.

3) Like all electric appliances these gates can behave weirdly. You will often find yourself locked on the wrong side of the gate.

4) One bid advantage of having an automatic gate is that it can remote controlled. This means that you do not have to leave your car when you drive in to your garage.

5) If you lose the remote or forget the security code, you have to contact your service provider and undergo a lot of trouble to recover the code.
